You'd think everyone and his pet goat knows that the "West" is at war with Islamo-fascism/ communism-or whatever creepazoid Islamo-ism you care to call it. Well everyone except Hollywood that is. Correction, I'm sure Hollycrud understands this perfectly well. It's just that it WILL NOT produce movies with Muslim terrorists - barring the generally thrillingly excellent "24" TV drama series.
Maybe I wouldn't mind so much, except that there are real troops out there, actually protecting and dying. Call me "old-fashioned" (and maybe I'm being a tad "sensitive") but you know what... it pees me off large when a bunch of dilettante phonies produce flicks straight from the MoveGeorgeSorosOn moonbats screw the troops playbook.
But what do you expect from an industry that routinely portrays lawyers and so-called "journalists" as teeth-gleaming heroes, yet shamelessly shows cops and the military as generally, a bunch of evil sadistic bastards.
So you won't be surprised to learn that XXX2 is back to basics for Hollycrud. This is a world in which 9/11 never happened. Or if it did, then it was the US government, the CIA, NSA and FBI who were probably behind the plot to murder 3000 Americans. Yes, we have the "mysterious" right-wing military "splinter" group out to stage a "coup", yawn, blah, blah, leftist claptrap.
The first movie was no great shakes, but even that had a plot more plausible than #2. Seriously... XXX marks the spot for a pile of manure that deserves to crash and burn... if shit can burn that is. |
