For
the past 150 years, the legend of Matilda Dixon, "the
Tooth Fairy," has hung over the town of Darkness Falls
like a dark cloud. After being unjustly accused of a
heinous crime, the kindly old woman was savagely slaughtered
by a mad rabble one night, and there are those who say
her vengeful spirit hovers over the town, just waiting
to pounce on anyone who sees her in the dark. It happened
to young Kyle. One night he saw Matilda and managed
to escape her evil clutches. Now Kyle Walsh (Chaney
Kley) must return home to confront his troubled past
and save his childhood sweetheart Caitlin (Emma Caulfield)
and her younger brother Michael (Lee Cormie) from the
unrelenting evil that still stalks the town. |
The
teen horroor flick ages a decade and stalks the twentysomethings.
'Darkness Falls' also has the honour of being the first
flick to get a 10 minute preview on the Internet. I
love these post-Scream movies like 'Joy Ride' as the
perfect "Thank God It's Friday Flick" to end
the week on a high pitched scream from the audience.
Anyway... back to the 10 minute teaser which looks and
feels very creepy. Excellent cinematography, nice set-up
and superior acting are all on show here. Looks highly
promising. I hope the rest of the flick lives up to
its start and is a real seat jumper. |
