'BOYFRIEND IN A BOX' SET FOR BRITTANY MURPHY
Funny blonde Brittany Murphy is attached to star as a singleton in the upcoming romantic comedy "Boyfriend in a Box."
Murphy played Ashton Kutcher's bride in this year's newlywed farce "Just Married".

The project will be penned by hottie screenwriter Gren Wells as part of her two-picture deal with Warner Bros. The rom-com is about a girl who is not looking for love and so acquires the novelty toy "Boyfriend in a Box" in order to keep friends and family from bugging her about her love life.

Soon she finds she must produce the man, only to learn that the real-life guy is nothing like the boxed boyfriend.

Murphy just wrapped shooting "Little Black Book" for Revolution Studios and Blue Star Pictures. She also starred in the hits "Just Married," "8 Mile," "Don't Say a Word" and the acclaimed "Girl, Interrupted."

Murphy first gained wide attention in "Clueless" as Alicia Silverstone's pet make-over project.

Wells has been on a writing streak since moving to Los Angeles in 1999. She is writing "Diary of a Mad Bride," based on an original book by Laura Wolf, for Warner Bros.

Wells began doing standup when she arrived in town; it quickly became a one-woman show, which played HBO Workspace.

"As you can see, its a tight box."
